INTI RAYMI
Inti Raymi is the most important Inca celebration in Peru, held every June 24 in Cusco in honor of the Sun God. This impressive reenactment revives the ceremonies of the ancient Inca Empire through dances, music, and traditional rituals that begin at the Qorikancha and the Plaza de Armas, with the majestic fortress of Sacsayhuamán as the main stage. Hundreds of artists participate, including actors, dancers, and musicians, with many editions featuring over 800 people on stage bringing the ceremony to life with ancestral music, songs, and traditional dances before thousands of spectators. Participating in Inti Raymi is to experience a unique cultural moment that connects history, tradition, and the grandeur of the Andean world.
